This Is My Ultimate Confession… Or What NOT To Do To Attract Money

This was the exact E-mail I sent out to my 1400 subscribers yesterday. The responses were excerpted from my Facebook comments and e-mails.

My friend, we need to talk..

This is serious and I thought I’ll write to
you personally about this.

Okay, I’m feeling really nervous about this
right now but I have to make a confession
to you.

***”Okay here goes nothing!”***

HERE’S SOMETHING YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT ME :

Late 2006 : I met with an accident.

I could not walk and I was on crutches for
a good 3 months.

In that time, I could not go to work to make
some money for myself, I could not go out to
enjoy myself and I basically could not do
anything but sit on my butt!

That was when I decided to make money through
the internet.

I thought it was going to be easy..

Boy was I wrong!

***I made $23.25 in my first 2 years online***

It’s not something I’m proud about but it’s
something you need to know because I did
something fundamentally wrong :

I ONLY pursued the money.

TIP #1 :

***DON’T PURSUE THE MONEY.
PURSUE YOUR PASSION AND THE MONEY.***

And everything just didn’t work out!

So, when I had the idea of starting a blog
about the Law of Attraction, you can imagine
how skeptical I was.

I had just gone through the worst online
marketing experience ever - trust me, I’ve
not heard of a worst story but luckily, it
does have a happy ending.

I started the blog, got some readers, then
built a community of people I can help and
was doing everything for free.

I loved what I did but after a while the
website following grew out of proportion
and I found myself feeling EXHAUSTED and
BROKE.

TIP #2 :

***GIVING IS GREAT, BUT GIVING AND NOT RECEIVING IS BAD***

Here’s the thing, my friend.

You can only give to the extent that you have,
and what you have is determined by how well
you receive.

I thought I was doing others a service by
helping them for free but I was doing them
and myself a disservice because by this
time, I fell sick very often due to late nights
working! (even though I was passionate about it!)

Then, I realized that I needed to start charging
for my services because they’re worth a lot!

I set a goal of hitting my first $10,000 and
with that, I started a program called the
Inspired Action Coaching Program.

I launched it in June 2008 and it was a
very successful $10,149 launch for me!

I WAS ECSTATIC!

I (thought) I had finally did it!
This was the turning point in my life!

UNTIL….

Now here’s my confession..

***THE CONFESSION***

Before I tell you this, you have to promise me
to love me as you loved me before and no less,
okay! Haha!

Okay, but seriously, all my marketing friends
told me that I must not do this..

That it will hurt my reputation and that I
should hide this from you..

I said,”No way! My friend needs to know this!”

I’m a really honest person and I have to tell
you this, my friend…

I STOPPED The Inspired Action Coaching Program…
and I had to return every single cent my clients
had paid me.

You’re probably asking yourself WHY?

Here’s why :

1) I was still serving my National Service then and
I would write up my reports and do my coaching
calls into the wee hours of the morning.

2) I fell sick all the time because of it.

3) I was really starting to break down inside and
I could feel my passion for this dying and dying
fast.

4) I was becoming increasingly inefficient in
delivering the value I promised my clients.

In other words, it was killing me and my career softly.

So, I decided to let all my lovely clients know
that I’m sorry (it was a really painful process)
and that I’d return all their money back.

You’re probably thinking, “That’s stupid! Saiful
should have just persevered abit more!”

But I could have lost myself in that, which leads
me to…

TIP #3 :

***DON’T LOSE SIGHT OF WHO YOU ARE WHEN YOU HAVE MORE MONEY***

So, there you go, that’s my confession :

I did not actually keep $10,092 from that launch.

And from that experience has traumatized me.

Which is why I have so much more resistance to allowing
money into my life now thAn I did a year ago.

But I learnt something more important :

I AM ABLE TO MARKET EFFECTIVELY TO MAKE A $10,092 LAUNCH HAPPEN.

PEOPLE WOULD PAY ME BIG MONEY BECAUSE I AM A PERSON OF VALUE.

And that’s why I’m writing this to you right now.

Today, I just finished talking to another millionaire, Noah St John.

Again, why would millionaires talk to me?

BECAUSE I’M A PERSON OF VALUE.

And more importantly…

***I AM DEVOTING MY LIFE TO A PURPOSE HIGHER THAN MYSELF***

I hope you’ve learnt something from this e-mail my friend.

I just wanted to reveal all to you and make sure that you
understand what kind of person I am and it’s also a form
of me releasing and forgiving myself from this experience..

(This e-mail is going out to 1400 people! Can you imagine
the amount of courage I had to admit to you that I FAILED
BIG TIME and that I’m not such a huge success as many of
you may think)

But Noah taught me something today, and I thought I’d put
it into action.. I’m forgiving my past now…

Well done Sir. You’ll go a long way. All of your tips above are true, but one resonated more to me - tip #3. I’ve known many people who have become famous or rich and then lose sight of who they are. You’ll definitely make your 1st million pretty soon. Have a great weekend. Cheers!

Great stuff Saif!

Mistakes are key, because if you ignore them you will lose money or a chance to get
money or anything else. In poker a solid player is someone who knows there “leaks”
hands they play in a certain position or whatever, instead of saying “i’m the best,
say i can do better then the best.”

Imperfect action as you told me :). It’s so awesome that you have connections to
millionaires, and i got connections to you..lol :)

I think you made a good move though, i think in order to make money you gota be the
best in your niche. If people are selling free ebooks and giving out free reports,
writing blogs then it is like fighting fire with water, they cancel each other out.
In a battle amoung 2 people in any competition the one who makes the mistakes loses.
If you compete amoungst fellow bloggers and stuff you realyl are playing a game of
chance and hoping you get the most people.

I know you not a person of playing hte numbers game and just sending out 20, 000
emails and getting a few hundred sales. Your style is different, you care…the
evolution of business ethics..

What i mean is that you are creating something new, in a world filled with scam
artists who abuse the law to get money and advertisers tricking people to buy thing,
its refreshing ofr the customer to be among someone trustworthy and honest as
yourself. I know a few products out there that say “money back garentee” and in
reviews people right how their emails are ignored.

I can see that from what i know about you, you truly love what you do and give love
through your passion… I think that will make you a millionaire and maybe i can
help :) (And be a millionaire too, or i’l lbeat you to it :) haha)

Salam,

You know Saiful, when I first learnt that you are giving away your
“talent/potential” for FREE, I had this question in mind:- ” How long can this guy
go without earning?” This is some hidden knowledge (especiallly in our community,
yes it’s sad). You ought to at least charge some amount to it (so I considered
myself lucky in a way I don’t have to pay! Haha).

Take Enooch Tan as an example. He extracted some topics and briefed it into a
simple free giveaway. And then you are introduced to his actual intensive book that
he charge (if I remember correctly).

And here you are with your gathered guts for a confession! Nothing will change how
I look or think about you cos I know you are honest enuf. What I want is the Saiful
NOW and not the past.

I’m learning to forgive my past. It’s hard but I’ve gotta try to remember the
releasing process everytime I encounter those feelings.

The fact that millionaires would talk to you proved that YOU are a person with
ENORMOUS VALUE.

Saif there is something called “the law of compensation” which means that if you put effort you will get results…all the time…sow and you shall reap.
You can’t sow and reap at the same time.
I have always questioned your tactics….you seem
very desperate to be rich…but this repels money away . because your wanting is coming from lack.
i have no doubt that you will be rich one day but there is still a way to go (based on what i read here)
You have to make your mind , you can choose to help people or to make money (for now at least). Trying to mix things up and being impatient about it will not take you anywhere.
I have to admit that your writing style is brilliant . you have to work more on your mental side of the equation. Every day you announce the “secret” to making money and then there is another secret and then another and guess what ” : you are still poor yourself.
There is no secret to making money…there will never be. Put the effort and believe that you are already there and you will be there eventually …but once you are there you will realise that the journey and not the destination is what it makes it worthwhile.
Be honest to yourself and others and stop playing “marketing games” . honesty is the best policy.
