Walk On DJ Gregory
Remember the last time you took on a challenge?
What does a “challenge” mean to you?
For one man, it means this :
“A challenge would be something that people don’t think I can do
BUT in my own mind, I know I can do it.”
Watch the video below to find out what his simple, unfathomable
challenge was and be reminded of some life lessons :
After watching that, how do you feel?
Now, I would like to challenge your beliefs a little.
Do you know what’s possible for you, my friend?
Do you, really?
If you’re like me, you’d probably look to your previous
accomplishments and others’ as a measure of what’s
possible for you.
Now, let’s take a closer look at that because I think
there might be something wrong with that paradigm.
So, in order to create something in the future, we look
towards the past?
Is that correct?
I don’t know if you love history class - I hated it - but
you know how they always remind you why studying
history is important.
You remember the time when the teacher said something
like, “We study the past so that we can predict the future.”
I used to think that was genius.
If I could see what happened in the past, I could see the
patterns because everything operates in cycles and in
a way…
I could see the future!
But there was one major flaw in my paradigm!
While the above still holds true, it limits me.
Consider this :
If you’re always looking towards the past for what’s
possible in the future, won’t you always be stuck
in old standards?
If Alexandar Graham Bell had looked to history as
a reference of what’s possible for the future, we
will still be sending snail mail to each other.
If the Wright Brothers had looked to history as
a reference of what’s possible for the future, the
snail mail I sent you would have taken a full six
months to reach you by ship.
If Thomas Edison had looked to history as
a reference of what’s possible for the future,
you’d be reading the snail mail I sent you by ship
in a room lit with candle lamps.
Think about it.
If those before us had looked to history, instead of
reading this blog post on your computer the moment
I sent it to you in your well-lit room, you’d be reading it
six months from now in the form of a snail mail near
your candle lamp.
With that, “We study the past so that we can predict
the future” is only part of the story.
I say, “We study the past so that we can predict what’s
POSSIBLE for the future.”
Did I create a paradigm shift in you there, my friend?
Shift your focus a little and start focusing on the
individuals who said, “No! There’s got to be a better
way than what it is now!”
Shift your focus to people like Sir Roger Bannister.
When nobody in the whole world has ever done it or
could even begin to believe anyone could do it… he did it.
He broke the “elusive” four-minute mile and because
he destroyed that limiting belief, high-school kids do
it all the time in this age!
IMAGINE THAT!
My friend, it’s time for you to challenge your belief in
what you can do and what’s possible for you.
It’s time for you to challenge yourself.
Do me a favor.
You’ve seen how Sir Roger Bannister has changed the
world by challenging himself.
If you’ve ever wanted to change the world, do this for
yourself.
Take something that’s beyond belief and challenge
yourself to successfully achieve it.
If you can do it, you have changed the world because
you have shown us what’s truly possible.
And to help you with that challenge, and since it’s a
Labour’s Day holiday today here in Singapore, I’d like
to share with you a treasure from my school field :

To CANI,
SaiF
P.S. I’d love to know what you’ve challenged yourself
to. Publicly declare the challenge you’ve set yourself
by commenting below! THANKS!

Thank you Saif. Great example as always.
As today, I have told everyone I know about celular nutrition. The time has come where I need to talk to people I don’t know and even if my intention in every way is for their own benefit, health and economic wise. It is a challenge. I find it very uncomfortable approaching strangers, specially with the feelings of fear that so many have about everything.
So I commit myself to not let go of any opportunity to do so at least for one whole month…. no matter how many times I “fall down”.

Watching this, i knew right away what it was going to be. But when i saw that guy, i looked at myself and said thats me. I have hte same type of illness he as but i think it’s less serious. I don’t really know much because i could not care less for the name.
I had a tough time doing things as well, i can walk with 2 legs and no cane/cruches. I remeber about a year ago, thinking i couldn’t drive a car. And peopel re confirming it. When i just got motivated gota driving intructer and noe am driving for a whole year. People at high school where amazed i could drive a car, i kind of feel the same way as this person in the video. If someone says i can’t do it i try anyway or find my own way to do it. But i know what i can’t do. But i can still do a lot.
i feel that doing something like he does is what i want ot do. Motivate people and help them ealize how human they are no do robotic things. I.E school, job, society. Instead just expres and live and enjoy life.
It’s still tough for me. Considerin g i knwo i cna od thing but it dosn’t seem so for others. I think getting a job wil be such a challange on so many levels. I really would like to start a business but no money.
But for now i know what i want. I just hope i get there somehow.

So I SALUTE you for taking on such a challenge, my friend! =)
Get up every single time you “fall down”.
You’re going to get rejections. Don’t take it personally all right?
You’ll do GREAT, Flora!

@Marcin:
Wow! You’re a ROLE MODEL, my new friend!
That story about being motivated to drive a car and finally achieving just that is simply WOW!
And I think it’s really ironic as to how those who are given everything to enjoy life with are the ones who don’t enjoy it.
Macin, you KNOW what you want.
And just like how you managed to drive when nobody else could, you’re going to achieve what you want.
GOOD LUCK MARCIN!!!
To CANI!
P.S. Who’s your brother?

My brother is Tom/Tomasz. He got like 2 days of coaching with you.
Also did you get my email? Unless you replied in this blog?
Also i am thinking of starting a motivational site, with video’s like that one but of myself :). Could be interesting.
But will people pay me anything (service/products) Services like coaching and stuff like you do. I mean, they won’t just trust some 19 year old kid over the internet?
I think reply to this would be better via email because it is off topic kind of.
Looking forward to your reply Saif.
