Why Thinking Big Can Get You In Trouble If You Don’t Know This
Have you ever wondered why you don’t achieve those dreams even though you think big?
What if watching this video can identify for you what’s wrong with your big dreams?
A Frightening Realization
After creating this video, I realized something important that I needed to share with you because it will help you dramatically if you apply it.
When I was going after that $10,000 dream, I was afraid that nobody would share my vision and thus not invest in me.
In other words, there were risks involved.
There was the risk of not getting a single person to invest in me.
There was the risk of not receiving that $10,000.
But let me ask you something:
“Is there a risk of being turned down if you said ‘I love you’ to someone for the first time?”
Of course there is! But why do we do it anyway?
Because there’s also the opportunity that he or she will say “I love you too”.
I want to make a very important point here that I didn’t see for some time, but as I went into The Silence again today, I realized something.
This could literally mean hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars to you in the future if you don’t get it now, so I want you to come closer.
When you say that something is risky and you decide not to do it, you’re saying you’re afraid of failure.
You might want to read that again because it’s so important! I’m sure someone as smart as you already know that successful people are the ones who fail more times than others and come back right up to claim the prize.
You see, I had to discover that for myself and it has taken me my whole life to know that. Why do I say that?
Because I can see for myself that I generally don’t take risks although I’m not afraid of failure. I label risks as something stupid because I don’t see a reason why I would do it if it’s risky, right?
It’s common sense, right? Wrong!
Counter-Intuitive Thinking Can Help You
Over the past 5 months, I’ve learnt that some things in life aren’t what they seem to be. Normally, I’l be doing something and although it’s perfectly fine to me, someone would come along and tell me that I’m doing it all wrong.
At first I would resist the change, but once I’m aware that the things I’ve been doing is giving me the results I’ve been getting and the other person is getting better results, I change too.
It feels a bit counter-intuitive, but trust me on this one.
*** Risks are opportunities if you know how to look at it ***
The next step of course, is to know how to flip it and make it work to your advantage.
Action Step For The Day
So, my friend, it’s crunch time. You can either keep reading my blog entries and not take action or you can take action and see results as fast as the next few hours.
1) Identify a big dream of yours you have been holding back due to the risks.
2) Decide to get rid of that “afraid to lose” mentality and replace it with the “play to win” mentality.
3) Do ONE thing in the direction of taking that risk and winning BIG!
Focus on the BIG WIN and the massive opportunity behind that risk!
Play to win!
Go for it!
Now!

Saif,
I simply cannot say this often enough…”for someone as young as you, to understand this concept and to be fully aware of this, is absolutely amazing!”
you inspire and educate us all in the realization of possiblities!
Keep up the thoughts, and the actions, the great posts…you are already successful and are creating abundance for all of those who read your blog…
Success, prosperity, abundance is here for us all. We simply could not have a universe without mind entering into it…
Why not become aware of it all and work with this giving universe…really what do we have to lose?
It is the “law” we will inevitably win!
or lose…take your pick…
cause and effect is also an indesputable “law”
Great post as always!

re: Thinking Big, Playing to Win!
Meaning believe in yourself. To do that, you have to be able to not only quiet the inner chatter of disbelief in yourself, but be able to change the negative inner chatter you have to positive inner chatter and realy believing in yourself. Once you have done that, your whole world begins to change.

You couldn’t have put it any better to me Saif,
Thank you for the reminder that wealth can gravitate to those who are conscious and invest energy into waking to higher levels of consciousness.
Awareness of thoughts is key.
Change in my life has come from my ability to recognise inner beliefs and from the conscious decision to change them, to better myself.
It takes practice and persistence but who wants to keep eating at the same restaurant all their life, especially when you don’t even like the food!
Remember, you are the cook and the food you serve is your experience in the big restaurant of life.
So become a better cook, no one can do it for you.
Great video on thinking Big and Playing to Win I will take that concept and use it to help change my world.
All the Best
B Blessed

THANK YOU =)
Awareness is probably the #1 thing that I realise people don’t have.. It took me so long to figure this simple “play to win” concept…
Haha! I like that analogy!

GREAT! Change the world one at a time! =)b

@Therese: Hey Therese!
I think that’s a limiting belief Therese. Try saying “Believing is so easy” over and over again and you’ll be amazed at what will happen to you!
Try saying this 50-100 times daily and usually by number 30 you’ll already feel transformed!
Try it out! Thank you for the comment Therese..
The world is becoming a better place =) I love it!

All right, things are beginning to turn the right way in my life and I am sure your blog has much to do with these. What I believe is that by reading them, seeing the movies, etc I get on the right track of mind. Instead of worrying about my problems, I am getting only good things in my thoughts/mind, and that has to do/change something. (cause and effect). So thank you again.
It is the first time I find myself looking forward to reading anyone’s mail, that is your next blog!
I love you, I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you!

Hi Saif,
My first visit to your site, and ya, its cool.
Good post.
But, don’t you think, using counter intuitions every time would void you of your intuitions. Wouldn’t it give rise to further degradation of self confidence.
Do we need to keep comparing ourselves ? I know counter intuition is good, ya, and maybe occasionally. But, I think the over use of it, can rip a person’s self esteem.
Ya, everyone knows… over use of anything is bad. But, i think, to make counter-intuition work at the first place, one has to fight the counter-intuition itself.
My question over the time has been… Does comparing yourself becomes an integral part of your development ?
:)

Flora: Hey Flora!
Nothing makes me happier than hearing you say that, Flora =)
Thank you for telling me that and yes, constant inputting of positive information like videos, books and audios have played a big part in my life, just like yours.
It takes some time and you change very little everytime, but in the span of a year I’d look back and I think wow!
I’ve really changed! Haha!
Enjoy the blog Flora!

@Rome: Hey Rome!
WELCOME TO MY BLOG =)
I don’t understand what you mean by using my counter-intentions - I think you might have misunderstood something I said or wrote.
I don’t know how you use a counter-intention but what I teach is to “clean off” your counter-intentions so that nothing holds you back when you’re going for that BIG DREAM =)
As for your question, what do you mean by comparing yourself?
Do you mean comparing yourself in the present and the past or the future?
Or do you mean comparing yourself to other people?
I personally think the latter is destructive if you keep comparing yourself to others more successful than you.
I believe the former is where growth comes from because as beings that come from a Universe that expands every single second as we speak, it is our nature to grow.
Please get back to me on this =)

Hi saif…
Please don’t get me wrong here. Maybe i was wrong in getting your point, I apologize for the same. Well, this is how I came up with that reply.
You wrote:

My thought for this :
When you think everything is perfectly fine to you, should you bother on other people’s comment? Well, I think not. We should be glad for the fact that, that particular thing is going fine, all according to me. Ya, we know… what we think correct isn’t necessarily correct everytime. Maybe we can work upon this. But, I feel, if someone comes and tell us that it is completely wrong, then I guess we just devalued the work that we had been into, religiously and thought it was perfectly fine…all into the drain. ”

My thought: ” Should we change just because other people are getting better results by doing something opposite to us ? Ya, maybe we can inculcate some of their strategies to streamline our works, but do we have to change completely ? What could be the counter-intuitive here… My interpretation over this was, its something going or thinking about your intuitions.
And what are our intuitions ? Our intuitions describes our thoughts, be it creative, rational or whatever which is supposedly paved in for good(but which sometimes might not!). But, playing against your own intuitions would make you dependent on others everytime.
I might be wrong here… please do correct me.

This is what even I think of…
Anyway… it was a good discussion as I would rather say.
Happy blogging!!

@Rome: Hey Rome!
I didn’t mean someone comes and TELLS me it’s wrong per se.
But someone comes along, who gets better results than me, and I look at the way they do things and the way I do it and I realize that HEY! I can improve on this!
So, in that sense I change =)
I think you’re a very “word-y” person for lack of a better word haha
I’m rather loose with my language and as a result the message gets lost in translation..
I will improve the way I communicate =)
And as for the intuition, I believe in intuitions a lot and I lead a life of inspired action - I go with my intuitions alot and although they might not get me the results I want and I may fall because of them, I’ll somehow receive something better after it ;)
So yea, I’m a BIG BELIEVER in intuition
