FOREWARD: I decided to post my answer to one of the many E-mails I received yesterday. I picked this one because it highlights the truth behind the Law of Attraction.

Many people new to the Law of Attraction have asked me, “SaiF, isn’t the Law of Attraction just positive thinking?” My answer is no.

The difference between the Law of Attraction and Positive Thinking is that the former results in miracles primarily due to one feature Positive Thinking doesn’t have.

INSPIRED ACTION. Thoughts can only turn to things by the vessel called Inspired Action - and that’s where the miracles lie.

QUESTION: “Hey do you think it is possible to use the Law of Attraction to win the lottery,when my intentions are to do good if I win.

I would help others, if I won. If you think this is possible please help me to do it, master mind with me. You see I run a non-profit organization,which helps the poor and needy,those in crisis situations and those who have been through natural disaster,we help by giving them free food,clothes and other aid. We work around the world and our needs are urgent.”

ANSWER: Before I say anything, I want to say THANK YOU for doing what you do =) I really respect you for what you are giving out into the Universe.. Ok, let’s get to work!

Hey, I’m your friend right?

Right! So, I’m going to tell you the God-honest truth and tell you that NO, you can’t win the lottery through the Law of Attraction..

You’re probably wondering why, right?

(Of course, you are! You wanted to mastermind with me on it! lol)

5 Reasons Why You Can’t Win The Lottery With The Law of Attraction

1) The Law of Attraction Operates On Abundance.

You see, with the lottery you can do all you want, get inspired, mastermind, think big but nothing’s gonna happen!

Because the lottery operates on the principle of scarcity.

I’ll give you a quick example and tell you that the New York Lotto is won by ONE person out of 18,009,460 people.

Yes that’s 18 MILLION!

So, to answer your question, you can’t use it to win the lottery simply because while you may be dreaming of this - 18 million people are also trying to attract this ONE limited supply of a lottery win.

2) You’re Telling The Universe To Get What You Want From A Particular Source!

I think you can see quite clearly how this works.

You, as a finite individual is telling the Omnipotent INFINITE where to get it from?

I don’t think that makes any sense.

What I’ve learnt to do is to channel the energy from the Universe into my reality and it doesn’t come as a surprise when I receive money from sources I’d never expect.

For instance, just yesterday I was doing some meditating and I kept asking myself, “How can I easily make $100 with 5 minutes of work” and guess what?

An inner voice spoke to me, I took inspired action immediately and VOILA! 5 minutes work and I’ve made $70 and counting ;)

So, my friend while you are trying to win the lottery, you might miss a totally “legitimate” way of receiving the same amount of money somewhere else.

And by concentrating on the lottery only, you’ll definitely miss the opportunity or opportunities to make the same amount of money because you will be buying the ticket instead of meeting the right people to manifest that money.

In other words, you’ll be taking the wrong actions which will lead to the results you don’t want.

3) The Law of Attraction Is Based On Giving And Receiving.

If it’s one important thing I’ve learnt over the past few months, it has got to be “give before you receive”

And I don’t mean that on a superficial level.

When I say give, what I really mean is the amount of effort and work you put into what you’re passionate about, and as you do that it creates a vacuum in your life.

The Universe is always in a state of equilibrium and thus It will fill in that vacuum for you - thus explaining how you receive what you want.

In the lottery, you don’t give anything except the effort to buy the ticket.

So, you’re probably thinking why do people win lotteries then?

Honestly, I think it’s because the Universe is trying to tell us something.

I think I read somewhere that almost every lottery winner loses everything and more in the space of a few years.

“Winning the lottery isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be,” says Evelyn Adams, who won the New Jersey lottery not just once, but twice (1985, 1986), to the tune of $5.4 million. Today the money is all gone and Adams lives in a trailer.

That tells you something doesn’t it?

This isn’t the way to be wealthy. And for those who still retained their money, I believe they most probably have changed in order to allow that kind of money into their lives.

4) Resistance Is Phenomenal! Attachment Is Destructive!

There’s a lot of mental resistance in trying to win the lottery don’t you think?

Subconsciously, you know the odds of winning the lottery is too small, in the abovementioned case 1 in 18 MILLION.

Then, there’s the usual “I’m not lucky” or “It’s really hard to make money” among others.

So, there’s a lot of mental resistance from getting this kind of money.

And at the same time, you’re VERY ATTACHED to it being the lottery. (nearly impossible)

And as I talked in my first book, attachment to one way of receiving something is going to reduce your chances drastically.

5) You’re Not In Vibrational Resonance With Winning The Lottery!

In addition to your subconscious resistance to winning the lottery, you also have certain beliefs about money that will add to that resistance.

As a result you’re not in vibrational resonance with what you’re trying to attract.

For me, I believe that to attract money I need to give to others value and then I will receive. And as far as I know, this is a law.

I wouldn’t even think of trying to win the lottery even if it was for the purposes of charity.

There are tons of avenues to get money for that. Calling Oprah up would be a good idea ;) Maybe, just maybe…. You should do that!

P.S. If you do want to increase your chances of attracting a lottery win, I suggest making it just one of the avenues to get it. In other words, buy a ticket and do other things to get the money in conjunction with it. But seriously, I wouldn’t bet on it.
