How To Overcome Limiting Beliefs Easily In 4 Steps
Are you unsatisfied with something in your life? Do you want to eliminate a particular habit? Perhaps, you think you’re not achieving as much as you should? Those were exactly my thoughts and this video did it for me:
Just three days ago, I was panicking uncontrollably. If you recalled, I wrote a guest post on AlexShalman.com. Guess what the first comment was?
“And with that I unsubscribe from this RSS feed…”
Can you imagine how I felt? I was a wreck! If you’re thinking SaiF must have an emotional stability of 1/10, you’re wrong. This is just the straw that broke the camel’s back.
I’ve been working on a (not so)secret project that involves my accepting money from people. And every time I tried to work on it, I ended up coming up with bad quality work because my mind was on my problem with accepting payment.
Luckily, I came across this video and I followed the steps to the tee and with some words of advice from a few friends, I know that something has changed within me. That counter-intention is gone!
Step 1: Disgust
Take A Step Back. In order to judge and take an honest look, I had to detach myself from where I was.
Be Honest. With the counter intention in my mind, I asked myself a few questions:
1) What exactly is the counter-intention? I simply can’t accept payment.
2) Why do you think this came about? I think it’s probably from my sense of self-worth.
3) How has this counter-intention manifested in my life? It has manifested in the form of $80 over the four months which means I’m losing money - a lot of money.
4) Is this what you want to continue happening? NO! I’m DISGUSTED at my financial state of affairs now and the fact that my mom has to work day and night just to make ends meet saddens me. She even has to postpone the important surgery if we don’t have $4000 by June.
5) What are you going to do now? I’ve had it! I’m going to start creating financial abundance for myself and especially for my family. I have to find a way to get a greater sense of self-worth no matter what!
Step 2: Decide
As you can see, I’ve had it! Writing about this brought back a lot of pain but I’ll clean on it in a moment. I realized that this is what we tend to do when we make decisions:
1) We’ve been taught from young that in order to make decisions we have to weigh out the pros and cons.
2) BUT somewhere along the way, we got confused and we started weighing our resources and circumstances instead of pros and and cons.
I made the decision right there and then that what I have right now is more than enough.
Who I am and what I can offer is more than enough!
In fact, it is EXTRAORDINARY!
Step 3: Desire
As Jim Rohn said, desire waits for a trigger. Oh the trigger came all right. My mother told me that she’s been asking some of our relatives to chip in for the surgery but nobody gave a definite answer.
I was disappointed… and to tell you the truth, I was furious!
Right there and then, I now knew this wasn’t about me and my petty counter-intention anymore.
Now, no matter what I have to do, I have to get rid of this counter-intention and create abundance for myself!
And I was going to do that while doing what I love.
Step 4: Resolve
I remember Tony Robbins telling the story of how Napoleon Bonaparte burnt the ships that got him and his Army to the enemy’s land. Napoleon was resolved on either winning the war or die trying.
Just like how babies learn to walk, Napoleon won the war.
Burn The Bridges. Like in that story, I had to burn the bridges behind me. It turns out that I have no bridges left to burn, so that’s one step down!
Take Massive Inspired Action. I took a whole lot of action in the next 3 days and here I am, writing this for you. Somewhere along the way, something changed. I now feel worthy to accept payment for my books and services.
I’m not sure exactly what happened that changed that, but I know this system works! Use it!
Just A Thought
In my experience, counter-intentions are the bad guys. They ruin everything just when I’m about to succeed at something. What counter-intentions have you had and still have? Please drop me a comment and I’ll try to help you =)

saif,
I think the reason that person unsubscribed is because they could not handle the positive vibes. It was a good indication of how powerful your message is. Those that are of the same vibration will see the value. Opposition is only a sign of how close you are….Don’t give up, we appreciate YOU!

Yes I am very happy and grateful that I’ve started to appreciate myself as much as I should be.
It’s amazing how something shifted within me and now I have a positive outlook on money. I’m not that attached to it and I now am impressed and happy that others are selling their goods and services!
Now that’s something I’ve never felt before! :)
Yup! I think it’s time I did something for my family and myself! Thanks for the words of encouragement! ;)

Hey Saif,
With regards to the person unsubscribing, there is another way to make dealing with situations like that a bit easier. Understand that it’s about them, NOT you. Whether good or bad, what others think of you is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! The only thing that is important is what you think of yourself.
So simply, you have proven that it isn’t always easy to have perfect self-belief. What’s wrong with that? It only proves your human. The difference is that you are out there making an effort to become something more and opening yourself up to others so that they can become more as well. Every speaker worth his salt has had down times. Their gift is recognizing it and learning from it. Big things are coming your way.
You have proven to be an inspiration to many people. Congratulations to contributing to the world!

@Kyle: Hey Kyle! Thanks for your words of wisdom! Now I know better! I guess I’ve been programmed to put my self-worth on what others think.
Yea. lol Of course I’m human, Kyle! Just kidding… Yes, I shall remember that ;)
Thanks again Kyle! I’m so happy and grateful for that! At least I know I’m changing the world in my own little way right? ;)
