Watch As This 14 Year Old Millionaire Puts The 9 Steps To Becoming Rich In Action
This is part 2 of the Farrah Gray Exclusive. For Part 1, please visit 14 Year Old Millionaire: Just Exactly How Did He Do It So Fast?!Yesterday, I introduced you to Farrah Gray, one of the people who’s on my list of “The People I Really Want To Meet”. Today you’re going to see the Young Millionaire in action on “Judge Hatchett” helping out a youth who needs it.
I’ve got to tell you from from the bottom of my heart that I’m really starting to like this guy and respect him even more because he just goes to show in this video what a normal person can do if he just allows himself to let go and not hold back anything.
One thing Farrah said in the video jumped at me. Did you catch it as well? You know the part where Brandon got rather discouraged when he saw what Farrah has achieved?
Brandon said,” Makes me feel like a loser…”
Almost like a knee-jerk reaction, Farrah replied,”No man. Never feel like a loser. It’s not over until you win.”
I fell off my chair when I heard that! Brings the saying, ‘It’s not over until the fat woman sings to a whole dimension!” That’s definitely going into my book of quotes.
This is so EXPLOSIVE that I’ve got to say it again.
IT’S NOT OVER UNTIL YOU WIN!
And with that, I present to you my take on Steps 4 to 6 of Dr Farrah Gray’s “Reallionaire: Nine Steps For Becoming Rich From The Inside Out”
4. Seize Every Opportunity
Yesterday I received an E-Mail from my favorite online motivational speaker and mentor, Mike Litman. Mike Litman, like Farrah Gray is a multi-millionaire, so I was just blown away when I received that personal E-Mail.
Here’s what the original Mail looks like:
> Date: Sat, 23 Feb 2008 09:30:55 -0500
> From: (Mike’s Personal E-Mail’s Confidential)

I would also like to share with you what I replied. P.S. I sound like a school girl in this one. I’m trading E-Mails with someone who’s on my list of “People I Really Want To Meet”! What do you expect?

Why Did I Tell You This?
1) I’m really excited about this! It’s quite a milestone for me to know that Mike Litman appreciates my work. But that’s besides the point.
2) This wouldn’t have happened had I not seized the opportunity to get the word out about SaiF Improvement. I spend hours writing insightful comments at the top Personal Development blogs on the Internet, and I’ve gotten new subscribers. (Hi there new subscribers! ;))
If you still remember yesterday’s video, Farrah said something that stuck with me. He said,” Most people say you have to be at the right place at the right time. You have to be everywhere all the time!”
And that’s exactly what I’ve learnt to be the determining factor between someone with something really great to offer and someone who’s wealthy because he has something really great to offer.
My friend, you’ve got something inside you that’s valuable to someone else. You’ve got a talent or a gift that another person could really use.
The truth is, you’re already wealthy. You’re full of abundance. But that spiritual abundance on the inside need to be converted into an external currency. And I believe you do that by trading your “use value” with “money value”. I talked more about this in the story of another young millionaire, Tyler Dikman who took 2 years to make his first million at 17.
How do you do that? By seizing every opportunity that comes your way and taking advantage of that to make your life reflect the wealth and abundance that’s already within you.
5. Go with the Flow… But Know Where You Want to Go
To tell you the truth I had no idea what Farrah’s talking about here so I went online to read a preview of his book on Google.
It turns out Farrah was talking about change. I think I’m the go-to-guy if you want to know something about “change”. It’s a reflex for me.
It all started with the departure of my beloved Grandmother about 5 years ago. She’s the one who have taken care of me for as long as I’ve been alive and she loved me with all her heart. She’s one of those people whom radiates love.
This made it harder for me to cope with the loss of her life, and for almost a whole month, her absence at home was the only thing on my mind. It was a BIG change for me.
However, from that day onwards it appears that I have instinctively developed an automatic reaction to change. I adapt very fast to changes in my surroundings, people and most importantly technology.
In his book, Farrah advises, “Don’t be afraid to pull the plug.” Sometimes, the ventures we undertake will never reap rewards no matter what we do. And some of these ventures might be done with our closest friends. It puts our egos and relationships on the line but knowing when to quit is important.
Last year, I decided to get my feet wet in the Internet Marketing niche. I did the legwork. I did everything by the book but still no success, and I wasn’t even enjoying it. 6 months into it I decided to pull the plug after some thought.
Today, I have achieved more in 2 months than I have in that 6 months. All because I knew when to quit. However, my biggest regret is that I didn’t pull the plug earlier.
Farrah also advises in his book that even in failed ventures and defeat, Reallionaires walk away with valuable lessons. I know I did. =)
So how do you know if you should pull the plug or not? Farrah suggests evaluating if your goals are still the right ones for you. If so, stick with it he says. I suggest you read Seth Godin’s “The Dip” to get a better understanding - I wrote about the 3 Golden Nuggets I got from this book in “Think of Quitting Before You Even Start… Yes I Just Said That!”
6. Be Emotionally Prepared To Handle Failure
The first thing that comes to mind when I see this topic is the incredible, must- watch monologue by Sly Stallone from the latest movie, “Rocky Balboa”
In that video, he gives a pep-talk of sorts to his son (played by Heroes’ Peter Petrelli) that I believe concurs with Farrah’s message here. I highly suggest you watch this video now because it’s more impactful and drives the message in.
But if you’re a “words” person here’s the important part of the monologue:
“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a v mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat u to ur knees, and keep u there permanently if u let it. You, me or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life.
BUT IT AIN’T ABOUT HOW HARD YOU HIT, IT’S ABOUT HOW HARD YOU CAN GET HIT AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
HOW MUCH YOU CAN TAKE AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
That’s how winning is done.”
The first time I heard this in the theatre, I kept repeating the words to drill it into my mind. I think you should do that now too until you’ve fully tasted the words in your mouth and get the full meaning of it.
Done? In the movie, Rocky’s son blames him for not being able to get to where he wants to be because there’ll always be the big shadow of being a Balboa ( how’s that for the power of a name )
Here’s what Rocky had to say to that:
“Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits.
And not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where u wanna be because of him or her or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you, you’re better than tt!”
I got two things from this, my friend:
1) Failures, problems and obstacles are going to come. I don’t know of any millionaire who got to where he is today by not making a single failure. That’s life.
Acceptance of this undeniable truth is important because it could and would impede on one’s performance and success if one doesn’t.
I remember the time when I was still a small kid in school. I would always find a way to make sure that I’m not seen as “stupid” or “slow” so everytime I made a mistake when the teacher asked me a question in front of the class.
I would blame it on my friends who were were making a lot of noise when I was called up to answer the question, thus impeding on my ability to concentrate. When they weren’t, I’d blame it on the excessive homework the teacher gave the day before, thus not allowing me time to revise my work.
I didn’t accept the fact that I simply couldn’t answer the question. I would always find an excuse. One day, it hit me that this ineffective habit was causing my bad grades.
Why? Because when I refused to see failure as something I created, I saw it as something that’s out of my hands and something I couldn’t do anything about. Thus, I didn’t work to reach my goals!
2) You’ve probably already heard what I’m about to tell you, but when I heard this for the very first time from Oprah Winfrey, the surroundings around me just went silent.
“There is no failure. There is only feedback.” rung in between my ears for the next five minutes.
Back at my workplace, I asked a friend of mine how come we haven’t had any complaints since 2007. My friend whispered to me, “We don’t get complaints. We get feedback.”
Although you may think that’s just a play on words, think again. Is it?
Building on the previous point, it seems to me that we can only render better service or do better at our job if we are told what we’re doing wrong.
I’ve got something to confess. I’ve always failed Math tests in junior college. In fact, I never passed one of them! However, the moment I stopped looking at the F’s as Failures and looked at them as Feedback, I felt rather encouraged to go for the kill in my A Level exams.
I figured that since I’ve had so many F’s in these 2 years, it seems like I know all the ways of sudying and answering the questions that will not work.
So, I just did the exact opposite of what I’ve been doing, and it didn’t come as a surprise when I achieved an A in the final exam that mattered, despite the fact that I’ve always failed every single test!
3) I saw this Chinese proverb one and I think it’s perfect for this entry as it shows the mental and emotional preparedness to overcome failures.
“Fall down 7 times, get up 8.”
