How Do I Achieve Massive Success In Life Effortlessly?

This video is one that I’m VERY EXCITED to share with you as it features
the actor I respect most, Al Pacino, who recently won the AFI Life Achievement
Award.

P.S. To achieve that, one has to be among the BEST actors in his generation,
so this accomplishment is something BIG. I wouldn’t be surprised if he really
believes what he’s talking about in this clip.

That was simply an astounding speech wasn’t it.This really has been one of the few paradigm-shifting videos I’ve watched.I have four insightful points to share with you from this video.

  1. Steer In The Right Direction - No matter how far you are on the wrong path or how many wrong choices you’ve made, turn back and start making the right choices!
  2. Life’s A Game Of Inches - You don’t have to go the whole 9 yards at one go, you’ll be taken down!
  3. The Inches Are Everywhere Around Us - Opportunities for winning that inch are everywhere, but it only matters if you take them.
  4. Every Inch Matters! - At the end of the day, the difference is in the sum of those inches.

Each insight builds on the last, so it’s important to follow them in order.

Time to Break It Down!

“We can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us or we can fight our way back into the light… we can climb out of hell one inch at a time”

1. Steer In The Right Direction

Why Is It So Hard To Turn Around?

Have you ever been in a position where you know you should stop doing
something but you just can’t?

Where you know you should be doing something else to reach your goals, but you
simply just can’t get yourself to do it?

We’ve all been there.

In Robert B. Cialdini’s “Psychology of Persuasion”, I discovered why this is so.

One word.

COMMITMENT.

Go back to a time when you said something you didn’t mean but got more and more
defensive on that stand as time went by.

Maybe it was a time when some of your friends were gossiping about somebody in
class, and you agreed with their views to please them.

And when the issue cropped up again the next time, and one of those friends
happened to be there when it did, you just had to say the same thing so
that you remain consistent with what you said before although you do not really
believe it?

Why Even Bother Turning Around?

The Japanese understood this weird trait in us and let me share with you how
they utilized this weakness in American Prisoners Of War.

It’s been some time since I last heard this story so this might be a bit hazy.

The Americans were trained not to divulge any information no matter how badly
they were tortured.

The Japanese knew this and adopted a different approach - one of gentle persuasion.

They made the American POW’s write an essay on why America’s Democratic System isn’t perfect.

The Japanese were smart in that they didn’t get the American’s to agree with
Communism (a BIG commitment) but got them to admit the fallacies of Democracy.

Since nothing is perfect, it was an easily acceptable truth for the American
POW’s to accept.

They would write them down and sign their names on the pieces of paper, thinking
that it meant no harm.

These pieces of paper would then be collected and circulated among the other
American POW’s to be read.

Prizes would also be given to the POW’s who write the best essays on why Democracy
fails.

These prizes would be small but valuable things like a pack of cigarettes.

What the POW’s don’t know is that there’s a catch to winning these prizes.

The “winner” will have to read out his best essay on the Public Announcement system
for the rest of the American POW’s to listen to.

Upon doing so, most of the POW’s would think of the “winner” as one who
collaborates with the enemy and so he will be shunned.

This would lead to the “winner” siding more with the Japanese, helping them out
by Spying on the other POW’s and ultimately working with the Japanese - in other
words, becoming a traitor.

Others who listen to the readings of the best essays might just be swayed towards
Communism if the essays are good enough.

All because of one initial small commitment.

So, you see my friend, this is why we need to turn around now, no matter how
near or far we are from the right path.

Small diversions in the short run will lead to wrong destinations in the long run

So How Do I Turn Around?

Turning around just like anything else needs one thing.

The decision.

The courage.

The choice.

The intent.

The decision to turn around.

No, that’s not a mistake - I did write that twice.

There is nothing more important than simply deciding to do something and then
following through to do it.

To put it bluntly, “Just Do It.”

But do not be fooled there are some tips to help you to turn back starting with:

Summary & Action Items

  • No matter how far along you are on the wrong path, turn back!
  • Have the courage to admit that you’re on the wrong path and turn back!
  • Make the decision to turn back.
  • Follow-through with your intention.

2. Life’s A Game Of Inches

Why Go An Inch If You Can Go The Whole Nine Yards?!

The place you’re at right now might seem like hell to you, but you CAN
climb out of it. But one inch at a time my friend and I’ll tell you why.

We all make new year resolutions every year.

Some people make the resolution to get in shape. They get the new shoes, outfit
and gym membership to go along with it.

And on January 1st, 2nd and 3rd they’ll set themselves to run 10 km a day.

And they do!

But what happens on January 4th?

The forget where the gym is.

They stop running.

PERIOD.

You see, if you try to change your results overnight…

I’ll be frank with you, even Tony Robbins can’t do it!

It puts too much pressure on the physical and it’s mentally draining.

So that’s why Al Pacino said we have to climb out inch by inch.

The keywords here are “inch by inch” my friend.

Remember the principle the Japanese utilized to get the Americans to switch sides?

We’re going to use that to our advantage by making small commitments until we have
the momentum to make bigger ones, and before we know it, we’re right on course! ;)

You Can’t Go The Whole 9 Yards At One Go; You’ll Be Taken Down!

My whole life changed when I understood this principle.

My whole approach to achieving success transformed when I understood this principle.

And I know it will have a massive impact on you too, but first…

Have you ever seen a rugby player go the whole 9 yards in one go? If you have,
send me the tape. If you haven’t, then maybe there’s something we can learn from
that.

Let me ask you something: Are you going to be met with failures along the way?

Definitely. That’s life.

So why are we always trying to be a success overnight?

I believe the mass-media and the globalised world we live in has contributed
to this “instant-gratification” phenomena.

We can’t plant a seed today and expect it to grown into a tree overnight.

Same goes for the “success seed” you planted last month, yesterday, today or
tomorrow. It’s called the Law of The Harvest. Everything has a gestation period
by which a flower will bloom.

So my friend, let’s take the path of least resistance.

Let’s move towards success one inch at a time.

That’s the secret.

You don’t have to move 10 inches or 5 inches, not even 3!

Just an inch.

That’s all Life asks of you, my friend - one inch daily!

Really? Just ONE inch?!

One inch doesn’t mean you do something quickly and forget about it. I want you
to read what I wrote above again:

That’s all Life asks of you, my friend - one inch daily!

One inch - By my definition, an inch is a WHOLE inch. An inch is completing a
task to it’s fullest potential. An inch means giving something your all, and
when you feel like you have, you go the extra mile and give it 1% more!

Daily - This implies consistency. Everybody can run a mile. But not everybody can
run a mile daily for the rest of their lives. And not amazingly, it’s the latter
who’s going to be fitter than the one who says he can run a mile with no problem.

Summary & Action Items

  • Stop trying to be an overnight success at everything you do.
  • Make a mental note of the Law of The Harvest.
  • Win one inch everyday, do it well, do it right.
  • Take massive action consistently.

3. The Inches Are Everywhere Around Us

“Life’s a game of inches … the inches we need are everywhere around us.”

Tony Robbins once said something that I thought was quite insightful. He said
something about how our state of affairs are never in balance.

If we’re abundant financially, our relationships suck. If our relationships are
enriching, we’re a bit lacking spiritually. If we’re spiritually connected to the
Universe, we might be a bit overweight.

The idea being there is always something that we can improve. Look around my friend.
Isn’t it true?

How Do I Find The Inches?

If you can’t find the inches you need, this question from my online mentor
Mike Litman might do the trick:

“What is one thing that you don’t want to do, but if you did it, it would move
your life and/or business forward?”

Let me say that again:

“What is one thing that you don’t want to do, but if you did it, it would move
your life and/or business forward?”

Another method I use is to invoke the Law of Attraction by focusing my mind on the
goal and trusting that the Universe will reveal to me the easiest way to move me
towards my goal and my goal towards me.

(You can find the 5 Magic Steps from my E-Book that I’m giving away FREE HERE)

WARNING: Inches come in all shapes and sizes. Some are easier than others to win but sometimes you have to fight like hell to win that inch.

P.S. I think you’re smart enough to know that the inches mean nothing if you see
them. They only matter if you act on the opportunities and take massive action!!!

Summary & Action Items

  • Live a life of Constant And Never-Ending Improvement (CANI).
  • Ask yourself “What is one thing that I don’t want to do, but if I did it, it would
move my life and/or business forward?”
  • Make use of the Law Of Attraction by focusing your thoughts on the goal.

4. Every Inch Matters!

I’m here to remind you that you have to fight for that inch TODAY,
TOMORROW and the DAY AFTER THAT.

Because you would kick yourself in the rear if five years from now, you
realise that what’s standing between you and the touchline is the 3 inches
in front of your face as you lie flat on the ground.

I’m here to remind you that the margin for error is so small, and that if you
do make one, the extra inches you’ve accumulated is what’s going to push
you ahead so that you WILL succeed.

Because at the end of the day, when we add up those inches, that’s what’s
going to make the difference between winning and losing.

3 inches that you could easily get NOW.

Summary & Action Items

  • Win every inch you can because the inches add up.
  • When you make a mistake, take the necessary steps to win a bigger inch the next time.

SaiF Improvement For The Day

This is EXPLOSIVE information my friend. But what are you going to do with it?

I can spur you on, believe in you and be your biggest supporter.

But I cannot win those inches for you my friend.

Nobody can.

Only you can.

Be courageous my friend, start fighting the great fight!

Take 100% responsibility for your life.

Go after that new year’s resolution and goals and conquer them inch by inch.

Make Two Thousand Eight a Two Thousand GREAT!

Remember: Don’t try to win 10 inches a day, just win an inch everyday for the rest
of your life, and you’ll have more inches than you could ever need to make a
difference in your life and those around you.

To CANI!
