12 Moving Minutes With Tony Robbins =)

If you know me pretty well, you’ll know why there’s
a =) in the title.

If you don’t know why, it’s because of this:

HE CHANGED MY LIFE!

In this clip he’s interviewed on “The Hour”.

He talks about some of his clients like Andre
Agassi and Mike Tyson, about some of the times
when he reached rock bottom and some tips to
get you to be at your peak!

Did you notice that he started sweating about
6 minutes in? Gosh, he’s so INTENSE!

I got two great insights from this! Did you get
the same?

1) Andrea Agassi : From #32 to #1

Don’t you think it takes a lot to go from #32
to #1 in World Rankings?

DEFINITELY!

So I guess, this just goes to show how powerful
this technique is.

I know it’s sth that you’ve heard before, but it’s
one of those fundamentals that you have to master.

I’ve not been practising this much lately although
I do catch myself feeling depressed or angry and
change my state.

So, this is a good reminder.

In the video, Tony Robbins talks about STATE.

Let’s recap the Agassi example again when he won at
Wimbledon.

“He walks a certain way, he owns it, and he looks
at the other side and he has a look in his eye”

So you see my friend, it all comes down to the inner
game.

Like Tony Robbins said to Agassi,”When you hit a
perfect shot, you’re not thinking of how you’re
hitting it.”

It’s the states we’re in.

And that state is determined by our physiology.

Just as out thoughts control our actions, we can also
change our Biochemisty or our states by changing the
way our bodies are.

Just to prove this to you, I want you to do an exercise
with me for a while.

Step One, stand up.

Step Two, think of the most depressing thing you could
ever think of.

Step Three, look at the sky and smile as widely as you
can.

COME ON,NOBODY’S LOOKING!

Trust me on this one, it’s really amazing!

Step Four, realise how you can’t help feeling happy
even though you’re thinking of something sad just
because you’re smiling like a mad man.

I told you it was amazing! ;)

You see, when you smile some chemicals are released
in your body which makes you feel happy.

Pssst… I use this technique every time I feel sad.
You might want to try it out some time.

2) Your blueprint determines your fulfillment

The more important lesson from this video I believe
is the blueprint factor.

I struggled with this for a while until I found out
that there’s such a thing called a “mental blueprint.”

You might be happy and fulfilled with what you have
right now, but I assure you there are gonna be times
when the awareness of this blueprint is gonna help
you.

Tony Robbins in this video tells us that we feel
unfulfilled when our life conditions don’t match
what we think they should be.

When our core expectations cannot be met.

I’ll give you a personal example.

I’ve always felt like a failure whenever I failed
a Math Exam or didn’t portray my character in a play
very well.

This is because I had expectations like “I MUST get
an A to be happy about my grades” or “I MUST make
10 people cry during my performance to know that I
have done the role justice”

P.S. Since I’m already on this topic, I might as
well share with you that the word “MUST” is a
disempowering word because it sets you up for failure
by making you feel you HAVE to do it.

And we both know what that means.

PROCRASTINATION.

Instead of “MUST”, try the words “I CHOOSE to”

So as you can see in my example, my core expectations
and my reality were far from equal.

They just weren’t realistic enough which means that
I have to either change my blueprint or change the
conditions of my life.

Guess what I did.

BOTH.

Yes, what I did was to change my blueprint from
getting an A to getting a D.

And changing my strategy for studying the subject.

And over time I shifted my core expectation
to that of my original.

So in this way, I set myself up to win by feeling
really good after achieving a small goal and then
going for the next step and then the next while never
losing motivation until I meet my original core
expectation.

And as I did that, I began to ENJOY doing Math and
eventually got my A! ;)

That’s a great strategy isn’t it?

So my friend, whenever you’re feeling something
disempowering, change your state!

Change your state by changing your physiology.

And if that still doesn’t work maybe your core
expectation is too high

Start making it something realistic.

Set yourself up to win by setting lower and more
achievable goals first and work your way up.

But never lose sight of that BIG.

Because HUGE successes come from thinking BIG.

Just ask Donald Trump!

I KNOW you can achieve those BIG dreams of yours.

I believe in you!

I love you!
