One Thing That Might Stand In Your Way To Success
Sometimes in the course of my journey towards achieving my
goal, I need someone’s help in order to reach the next step
or to speed up the process of reaching that goal.
I don’t know about you but I’m very uncomfortable asking
for favours from people.
And I think most people have the same problem too.
Jack Canfield, author of “The Success Principles” tells us
how to overcome this problem almost effortlessly.
Watch this short but important video:

Jack Canfield said something that really struck a chord with me..
I’m always asking myself “What if he turns down my request?”,
but you know what, like he said, we need to be willing to feel
the fear but not succumb to it.
How?
Let’s review the steps again:
1) Think of the benefits you’ll get if the person says yes
to your request
2) I want to ask ___ for ___, AND I SCARE MYSELF BY IMAGINING
_______________.
Extra step:
3) Look for evidences that will justify your
fear (usually your fear is just imagined and the person might
actually grant your request.)
So my friend, don’t be afraid to ask.
In Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles”, one of the first
principles is “ASK, ASK, ASK”
So my friend, start asking!
I’ve found that the reason why I never asked for favours
before is because I felt as if I wasn’t worthy of them.
But I realised that wasn’t true.
I am worthy of people’s help.
And so are you.
If you’re afraid of rejection, just listen to this story.
Two men had an idea for a book that they believed will change
the world.
When they were finallly done writing the book, they presented
the manuscript to book publishers in America.
The first one turned them down.
So did the second.
And no, the third wasn’t exactly a charm.
In fact, they went around with this manuscript in hand to a
total of 133 publishers before the 134th said “Yes”.
The two men I’m referring to is Jack Canfield and Mark Victor
Hansen.
And the manuscript that got rejected 133 times is what you
and I know as “Chicken Soup For The Soul” today.
Yes that’s ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY THREE REJECTIONS.
What if they had stopped asking on the 132nd try?
The world wouldn’t have witnessed one of the biggest phenomenons
in the world of self-help.
The world wouldn’t have benefited from the most inspirational
and touching stories ever collected in a book.
So my friend, like them, I believe you have a phenomenon that’s
waiting to be unleashed.
Start asking TODAY.
Start small.
Ask for the time.
Then ask for a little advice.
Anything at all that will help you feel worthy of asking.
All I can say is, “ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE.”
To CANI,
Saif
Saif Improvement for the day: ASK, ASK, ASK. Feel the fear
and do it anyway. Stop imagining things. Ask, expect it
to be granted, and so it will be.
