The Magic Combination Is 6:1

Hey there!

I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!

But not too much though…

Why?

Anthony Robbins’ mentor Jim Rohn, tells us why :

If you’re sitting in you chair reading this right now,
you are most probably working hard towards a goal.

It could be something to do with your passion.

It could be something to do with creating lasting
and fulfilling relationships.

It could be working towards the body you desire.

Whatever it is, you must never lose sight of what
Jim Rohn talked about:

“If you rest too long, the weeds take the garden”

Three important points I want to highlight to you here:

1) Momentum Is Power

Over the last two weeks or so, I’ve learnt that lesson
personally.

I have to confess, at the start it was really difficult.

I found myself procrastinating by watching some TV and then
eating or going out.

Then I got round to working, but I started to do things
that would not directly contribute to my success.

For instance, I would plan and plan and plan some more but not
actually do the things that are more important.

If you’ve got a project due in a week, I believe you’ll
attest to that.

When I finally got to doing the crucial things, something
magical started happening.

I started to enjoy myself as the small pieces that I worked
on were coming together to form a greater whole.

And as I did, there was something in me that didn’t let me
rest until I did the next step, and the next, and the next…
and finally the last.

It felt really effortless although I did quite a lot now
that I come to think of it.

But when I took a break, I started to lose my momentum
bit by bit.

I found that it takes me a full 2 days before I go back to
square one and start procrastinating again.

What I’ve found to work to totally eliminate the thought of
resting for an extra day or two is by….

2) Enjoying Your One Day Of Rest To The MAX!

When it’s your rest day, don’t even try to THINK of doing
ANYTHING.

Sure, write ideas down when The Universe sends them to you
but this is your scheduled time to yourself.

Forget about labour, you’ve got another 6 days in front of yoU!

Indulge yourself.

Listen to your favourite bands!

Watch the new movies!

Read the latest bestsellers!

Meet up with your best friends!

I’ve personally felt the pain of not enjoying my rest day.

Example : Today I was feeling rather stressed because I haven’t
posted an entry yesterday.

A good friend of mine reminded me that this was supposed to be
FUN!!! not a chore!

So, I’d like to thank him for that, and just as I was looking
for new videos to share with you, this was the second video I
came across..

I believe the Universe is trying to tell me something here..

So, yes I did rest today and I had a lot of fun too!

But now, it’s 6 days of plucking the weeds and planting new
flowers that will one day make my world a garden of happiness.

3) Reflecting on the last 6 days

Don’t forget to reflect what went right and what went wrong
the first thing you do when the new week begins.

SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL TIP: Do more of what works and less
of what doesn’t bring you closer to your goals.

I told you it was simple yet effective!

So my friend, do this immediately after you finish reading this
post:

1) Pick a day as your rest day.

2) Schedule back-to-back FUN and JOY on that day. Make it the
best day of the week so that you’ll start the next 6 days fresh.

3) Learn from my mistake. Don’t lose sight of WHY you’re going
after your goals (I’m writing mine down in a sticky after this)

4) Schedule time to reflect on the past 6 days first thing in
the morning

There you have it.

One of the combination numbers towards achieving your goals.

Tomorrow I’ll talk about a crucial one Jack Canfield loves
to talk about.

I’ll see you tomorrow, my friend.

To CANI,
