Something Inspiring You Might Not Know About Rocky
By SaiF on Jan 3, 2008 in Best of SaiF Improvement, Success Stories
Everyone who has ever watched Rocky would tell you that
it’s the most inspiring and real movies they’ve ever watched.
At least that’s what I think.
But what you might not know is how it became the legend it
is today.
I’ll give you a clue.
It has something to do with unrelenting faith.
My hero Anthony Robbins tells us the mesmorizing story behind Rocky.
How many tears did you cry?
Maybe Sly’s story is very similar to yours.
Maybe you’re in the exact phase as Sly was before Rocky.
I know I am.
I can totally identify with how Sly got the idea for Rocky
and wrote the movie in its entirety for 20 hours straight
without sleep.
That’s the first this I want to share with you my friend.
I call it the Receiving-Doing Gap.
In Dr Joe Vitale’s Attractor Factor, the final step is “Letting Go”
which basically means to trust that The Universe will bring you
closer to the goal and the goal to you.
Every single time -at least in my experience - The Universe
will give you the OPPORTUNITY to get what you desire.
(Remember what I shared with you on 31/12/07? If not,
re-read that post after this! It’s IMPORTANT!)
Most of the times, this opportunity comes in the form of
an idea that just suddenly comes into your mind.
Some people wonder how it got there, some people
question the idea too much, and the people who succeed
take inspired action on that idea.
This is what separates the dreamers from the winners.
Crucial Tip : The faster you take action on it, the smaller
is the Receiving-Doing Gap, the faster you will succeed
simply.
Why?
Because as you take action, more like thoughts
and ideas will come to you so fast and furiously, you’re
going to have to scribble all of them down at lightning
speed just to keep up with them.
And when they finally stop coming to you, you’ll have
the script of your Rocky.
You know how I know? Two words…
Personal Experience.
You should try it sometime! ;)
The second lesson that we can take from Sly’s story, as
Anthony Robbins says is to what?
“KNOW YOUR OUTCOME”
Sly’s story is the story of the typical success story.
A MILLION MILLION MILLION “No’s” and then ONE “Yes”
that opens the floodgates to even more “Yes”es!
All simply because he didn’t want to settle for anything
less than what he believed he deserved.
Even though it meant poverty.
Even though it meant fights with his wife.
Even thought it meant selling his dog for $25 to keep
him alive.
What a man Sylvester Stallone is!
If you have a goal, dream or a vision no matter how
silly or far-fetched it may seem to you, keep it alive!
KEEP IT ALIVE!
KEEP IT ALIVE SO THAT THE WORLD CAN BENEFIT
FROM IT!
I believe everyone’s put on this Earth to do something
special.
To be SOMEONE to someone else.
And if you’re reading this now, I know you definitely
are special even though you might not know it yet.
Stop listening to the people who are telling you that
your dream is impossible.
I’m going to be blunt with you here : Those who tell
you that your dreams are impossible are AFRAID that
you will succeed and that they will be left where they
are - in the dust.
“Nothing happens unless first a dream.”
- Hellen Keller
So my friend, I’m here to tell you GO FOR YOUR DREAMS!
Borrowing Adidas’ tagline:
“Impossible Is Nothing”
When you know your outcome, you will definitely
get it because the bottomline is this:
IF YOU HAVE A STRONG ENOUGH “WHY”,
YOU CAN ENDURE ANY “HOW”
Here’s a small tip: If something you do is not getting
you towards what you want, change your approach!
I really have a lot more to say today, but I know this is
a bit too long for you so I’ll end it very soon…
Stay with me here…
In Secondary School, my favourite song was “Lose Yourself”
by Eminem… It’s still one of my favourites because it tells
Eminem’s story in an inspiring song..
At the end of the song he says:
“You can achieve anything you set your mind to, man.”
I recommend you put that in your Ipod!
Play it over and over again!
Run after your dreams and don’t look back my friend!
You were put on this Earth to be someone GREAT!
I BELIEVE IN YOU!
YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TO, MAN!
And knowing that’s true, what do you want to do
if you know anything’s possible?
Imagine the possibilities…

Hey there Indigo Child!
Thank you so much for visiting my Vlog!
I want to share with you a quote from the latest Rocky movie:
“It’s not how hard you punch, it’s how hard you can get punched and keep moving forward”
Sums Sly up in a sentence doesn’t it?
To CANI,
SaiF

That bit was really touching wasn’t it!
I guess you’re right Bob, there’s really a price to pay!
But I guess that’s what separates the winners from the rest ;)
